Conversations on war:

Coworker 1: So we'll be at war soon
Coworker 2's daughter: I think we should have been at war as of September 12th, 2001
Coworker 2: Defintiely, it's time we blew these Iranians away
Me: Well, seeing as you just said the wrong country...
CW2: Iraqis, whatever, they're against us we should get just rid of them.

Converstions on the homefront:

CW2's daughter: We'll have a united homefront
Me: I really don't see that
CW2: Oh we will, people like you are in the minority.
Me: Have you seen the protests?
CW2: Yeah, but Bush wouldn't be president if the majority didn't support him
Me: Bush's being president is debatable and since Gore won the popular vote I would say the majority of the country was against Bush
CW2: Oh there were all those questions about the ballots that showed Gore won the popular vote
Me: There were questions about those ballots?!? Did you pay attention to the Florida debacle?!

Whhheeeee! Work is so fun. Glad I'm not there today.

Exactly....obviously "united" means her version of the majority's opinion. Hell, if "freedom" can replace "french," why not?

I think i'm really lucky... everyone on my team, and most people i'm around at work fall on the same side of opinion almost all the time.
