Saw Harry Potter this weekend. It was pretty good, but definitely not something to which I'd want to bring a young child. As I was reading the book I figured the movie would be too scary for kids and yep, it was. So if number two is this dark, what happens when number four hits the big screen?

I liked the movie, but I was more enraptured with the preview for The Two Towers. The Harry Potter movies are entertaining and all, but they're not half as all encompassing as the LotR. Better cinematography, better acting, better story, better costumes, better effects etc. Of course this is all just my opinion, I'm not trying to start any debates or anything.

I was entertained by the range of previews that preceded the movies. There was Kangaroo Jack (god-awful CGI kangaroo hijinks), the latest Nickelodeon cartoon movie, Two Towers and DareDevil. In that order. Yeah, cause anything is going to look like a good movie after following the Two Towers preview.

I have to say though, and I've probably said it many times before, had I not read the books, the Two Towers previews would piss. me. off.

Why would the previews for the Two Towers piss you off had you not read the books? I'm confused by this.

Micah

PS speaking of books, have you had a chance to look a Josh yet?

Nope on the Josh...sorry, grad school essays and work are taking priority.

If I hadn't read the books I think the reappearance of a certain individual would have been a cool suprise. A suprise that is absolutely blown by the previews. Why ruin something that huge just cause?
