Sneaky customers
Sep. 3rd, 2002 11:33 amYou have to have guts to try this one. Had a participant in one of our training courses who was from Russia. We shipped the training materials to him but the information didn't work for customs so we had to reship it to a different address.
The first shipment was returned to us, charged on our account. That's fine, totally understandable. But I started auditing our shipping invoices and low and behold there's another return from the same address in Russia to New Hampshire charged to our account. I called and it was listed as a $1,100 camera. We don't sell cameras and have no business contacts in NH. Methinks somebody is trying to pass off the $117 to us in hopes we won't notice. Sorry, we noticed.
