Big Long Entry on what I did last week.
May. 21st, 2002 09:01 amNot much going on at work so I shall now regale you with
So it's not even really summer yet, but it's probably the only long vacation I'll get so there.
Got in on Saturday and met
eeyorekdm at the airport. Fairly laid back evening of Chinese with her mom and then Cranium and Taboo with Jamie and Mike (eeyorekdm has a boyfriend!! Too surreal for me!)
Sunday we went to church. I get to pick on my mom as she's the Christian, but I've gone to church more often than her in the recent years due to all my visits with eeyorekdm. Then off to a big family Mother's Day party with aunts and grandmas and cousins and uncles and more. It was good to see all of her family again. It's kind of neat spending time with a family that all lives so close together as opposed to one that is spread all over the country and never sees each other *sniff, sniff*
Monday we slept late and just basically chilled around the house, then went to a mother/daughter dinner where I won a prize for having traveled the furthest to get there. I mean c'mon, CO to PA? And you know I was there just for the dinner. Highlight of the week...or something.
Tuesday was Long Island (YEAH!!!). Got to see all the old haunts and my poor friends who are still stuck at school. Went to our beach and played, went to Buckley's and drooled, went to the beach at night and blinded ourselves with flash photography. Just generally acted silly and enjoyed being back.
Wednesday we went out to Montauk and went horseback riding on the beach. Something we could never afford as college students. Then the long ass drive back to PA.
Thursday we met up with
ercsk who gallantly put up with a lot of teasing about the fact that he actually showed. It was good to have the three of us together again. Just like old times. Then eeyorekdm, Mike, Jamie and I went out. There was karaoke. I sang...never again. Jamie did a solo and was exceptional, both in her singing and in her courage to do so alone.
Friday we played miniature golf (because I can now) and then went out with Jamie and her mom and eeyorekdm and her mom for a three hour dinner. Lots of talking and messy messy crab legs which were yummy in my tummy.
Saturday, much to my dismay, I had to leave and come back home, but with the firm conviction that I will move back east ASAP

what I did on my summer vacation

Date: 2002-05-21 11:12 am (UTC)Kidding of course, hope things pick up. Things aren't as bad as I feared here, but I think that's mostly because my tolerance level got built back up again. It will wear down soon enough.
As to the jobs. Most are in the Boston area but there was one in Allentown and some other place I can't remember.
