Friends

Sigh - well I knew it was coming, that moment when I realized how much I missed my NY friends and how few and far between are my friends in CO. Basically I have three good friends out here in Ft. Fun. One is getting married...I see that as putting a definite crimp in how often I'll be seeing him. One just got a new girlfriend and we all know what happens now, he drops off the social radar, as he already has, in order to spend time solidifying his new relationship. And one is taking summer classes, has a part-time job, a boyfriend, a "girlfriend," a roommate and countless other obligations so we only get together when we can...not often. So as I said in the beginning, sigh.
OK, enough feeling sorry for me. I'm in the search for something to do. Yeah getting a job would be the best thing to do and I am working on that, but in the meantime I am stuck here twiddling my thumbs. Been working on a lot of crafts (eeyorekdm, at the rate I'm going you'll be out here by the end of July), but other than that am going stir crazy. So instead of writing about it here, I'm going to see if I can find a solution somewhere in the depths of the WWW.

Well while I can't offer to hang out with you more (being as i'm on the other side of the country) I can still try to cheer you up. Thanks to the wonders of the internet you are just a short way away from your NY friends ... via e-mail and all that. Seriously though, I know how you feel.. I have my gang from HS here, but many of them either didn't come home from college or have changed a lot so that, while I can still hang out with them, it's not the same as it used to be. As far as you and your crafts go.. you have to give me time to A) get a job and then B) work at it long enough to replenish the money that I've been using since graduation and have enough to get out there - but it IS going to happen - I will be there soon. Maybe end of the summer, early fall? I hope things pick up for you there and you meet lots of fun crazy people!
