Marriage, marriage everywhere!! Two FCHS alums and current LJers are getting married in a few days, a member of "the six-pack," who I've known for years, is getting married in July and buying a house. What's with my friends and the marriage and the kids and the grown-up stuff?! That's just soooo far removed from where I am right now. I'm thinking save money for grad school, get my degree, get my career going and then I'll think about these things. At the very least it's going to be several years. I can't even contemplate being ready for stuff like that right now.

As for the "six-pack" person, I don't know if I'm allowed to share to the entire internet here, but suffice it to say it was the first one (besides yours truly) that you met.

As someone on the other side of the proverbial fence, I have to say I can't imagine my life without marriage and kids and a house. In no way am I demeaning your chosen existance, but I feel my life has been full and complete with no (ok, well, minimal) regrets. I am the only married mom on my team at work - two other girls are married and one is still in the dating game. Everyone I work with is either single or married no kids.

*shrug* it's all about comfort level. I like to keep in mind that there will never be a perfect time to do anything and roll with it. :)

I'm not saying there's anything wrong with the choice...it's just so far removed from where I am right now that it's mind-boggling to consider. Like you said, it's comfort level.

i'm with ya

i feel the same way too. i mean, my sister just had a psudo-wedding, Josh n' Mez are still talkin' the jive. everyone's getting hitched! i can definitely say i feel the same as you. it is just so far removed from what i know...so foreign...almost alien!!! the only difference is that i've been seeking it for years and years, and you haven't. that, and well, i'm getting hitched too.

finally!!!! geez!
