And at the same time, I've accomplished quite a bit today. It just seems that time is moving so sl-o-o-o-o-o-ow. Probably because yesterday I was IMing Kim and Jay from school. Much more entertaining. Especially as I was planning a visit at the same time. I NEED to get out of this town. I have been in Colorado for almost a year straight now. Gah! For somebody who hasn't spent more than 3 consecutive months in the same state for the past 4 years, it's a little confining. I want to go someplace!!! I want to see all my NY friends!!! But most of all I want out of this town for a little while. Nothing really important to say, just needed to rant.

Who are your NY friends? What, do you want to spend your day staring at some dumb bay, looking down on it from a gigantic 50 foot dune, with that stupid water lapping on the sandy beach and rocks... and some idiot driving his brand new truck over Phragmites screaming at the top of his lungs? Why would you want that?!?!

Speaking of which, I'm heading out there this weekend as a guest (consultant) of the Trustees. Seems the plover program I spent three years building (and which was named one of the best in NY last year by Fish and Wildlife) is crumbling beneath the weight of stupidity. Wanna come with?

By the way, I may be putting in for a transfer to Narrangansett, RI.

OK, you're evil. I've had a very crappy day at work and that image has made me tear up. Thankfully as I am typing to you I am also talking to my travel agent and planning a trip to PA for May. Hopefully we'll get a chance to drive out to LI as well. If you're still in NJ, can we swing by and kidnap you?
