taerowynGot a call from the movers...they're having truck issues and wanted us to reschedule for tonight or Sunday. Well a) we wouldn't be ready by tonight and b) we got no-parking signs for in front of the new place, but they're only valid for tomorrow so...we could move to the afternoon, but it HAS to be tomorrow.
OK. Call Roommate Classic, make sure she knows what's up.
While I'm talking to her, movers call back and say, oh, we found a truck...you're on for the original schedule. So what, you couldn't have waited ten minutes before making that first call to find out that it wasn't necessary to panic me? Fine. Whatever.
Then, call the realtor as the landlady was supposed to drop off keys for us to pick up. Apparently she just called the realtor and is unable to drop them off, but she'll "be around" tonight so we should just call her when we go to drop off a few loads this evening and she;ll meet up with us...or something. So not inspiring confidence. Especially as the only reason we're waiting this late for the key exchange is because a consturction project in the kitchen that was supposed to be done before we moved in has been delayed and is still a WIP.
Remind me again that the move is a good thing...
At least I got all my change of address/parking permit shite sorted.
