Life has been hectic to say the least. Got the new apartment and the looming move on the horizon for my homelife, and work has quite literally doubled these past few weeks (we used to average about 5 communications a week...we've been doing 10-12 since mid-February). Add on top of that this lingering hacking cough I've had for well over a week now and..well..."brain hurty, confused, exhaustion, vacation is when?" sets in.
Thankfully, I had a whirly-gig of an evening tonight that's left me dizzy, but content. Started work at 8 this morning so I could leave at 4, take the T to the airport and meet my dad for dinner. He'd been in Maine for a few days and had a later flight so we had just enough time for a meal. Thankfully, they have a Legal Sea Foods at the airport so the meal was yummy, yummy seafood.
Talked, ate, laughed, ate, mocked, and ate some more. Twas nice, but kinda a cruel tease since he had to get on a plane and head back to CO.
Whilst he went through security and boarded a plane, I got back on the T and headed to Lansdowne street to see The Decemberists. Good show! Loved the lead singer's response to somebody's yelled request of Freebird...that there's a new group, MATCOFF: Musicians Against the Calling Out for Freebird. Hee!
I did end up leaving a bit early cause the warm, muggy atmosphere was not playing nice with the whole lingering hacking cough...but hey, I beat the rush to the coat check, merchandise table, and T.
So yeah, nice relaxing evening in preparation for a weekend of packing. What bliss. [/sarcasm]
Oh...and SQUUUUEEEEEEEE!!!!!!!!!!.
