I do like my apartment. Really I do. It's amazingly large for a Boston apartment and it's frickin' cheap for the size. Unfortunately, as in most things in life, you get what you pay for. So cheap involves lots of cracked paint, windows with the insulating power of seives and really crap wiring.
Today's adventures involve an inability to turn the lights on in my room. No, it's not a blown fuse cause a) everything else works and b) I had similar trouble last night but was able to get the light switch to work by flicking it on really hard. Today...that's not working.
So the landlord is on his way over. Nice guy...totally inept at home repair. And I am fully prepared to spend the first ten minutes of his visit convincing him that it's not the fuse. No really...it's not the fuse. Cause see if it was the fuse then...oh, you checked the fuse box and none of them are burned out? Imagine that. Back to how I was explaining that IT'S NOT THE FUSE!
Fun times.
