Evening o' mine
Feb. 2nd, 2002 02:31 amHad what can only be dubbed a Fort Collins evening. A true attribute of the Big city/small towness of Fort Collins. First place I went to tonight, saw a girl from high school who hated me. Either she didn't see me or she chose to do what I did ie pretend she didn't see me.
Second place we go to, randomly run into an ex-boyfriend from high school. He just graduated in December and is doing what I am (saving money by mooching off the folks). It was a very surreal few minutes and I had to wonder what he was thinking ("Gee, it's like elementary school...everything is so much smaller than I remembered" OK, so not everybody will get that joke, but my friends and I had a very good laugh over it).
Then, the third and final stop had me running into a coworker and his fiance, who happened to room a year in college with one of my friends who was out with us.
So that was my small town.big city evening. But besides all that, and more importantly, my evening managed to cheer me up and get my mind off of all the stuff going on. Let it go, let it go, let it go....
