taerowyn's belly. Couple that with the lunchtime discovery of a kick-ass salad bar close to work complete with mixed berries and crystal rolls (with peanut sauce!) and suffice it to say that this was a good gastronomic day. (and yes...as the stupidity of that rhyme attests, I probably shouldn't attempt to finish that bottle of wine until tomorrow)
So, I am currently trying to convince myself that I'm not a big enough fangirl to attend a convention in another state. I mean, I've only been to one, and that's cause it was in the city where I live and it was a big, all-encompassing, all sci-fi/fantasy, World-Con with two of my favorite authors and myriad others so... well worth it. This would be several states over, and only the work of one person (no prizes if you guess who, but if you can't guess....quite frankly, where the hell have you been?!?!) and would cost lots more seeing as I'd have to pay for the gas of the drive and hotel accommodations. Plus there's the whole "I want to take a real vacation next year....preferably involving a beach so need to work on the whole saving money thing."
