In desperation I have been, to the point I tried getting a freelance writing job with an adult toys company. It went nowhere and was probably shady, but being a receptionist in a crappy law office certainly encouraged such measures. Getting a paying job is an important thing, regardless of the pay because then at least you can stick around to make otehr opportunities happen. Good luck!

There were a couple adult industry writing jobs around here too. It was always one of those "Well..? Nah." kind of things. And, as you said, just a paying job is important. The interview actually went pretty well and other than the salary and the really long commute it sounded pretty good so we'll see.

I know the feeling. Right now I'm working a job that pays me 2 cents an hour more than I was making FOUR years ago. What the fuck is that about?
