Apr. 9th, 2005 08:29 pmHmmmmmmm...I'm having a very nicely productive, unproductive day, although that may only make sense to me. Got up early this morning and hit Newbury Street to get some stuff for my
project29 envelope. This is the first time in awhile that I've been real gung-ho about it; probably because my partner shares a lot of the same interests as me so I'm actually entertained by what I'm assembling.
While down there I stopped by the library to see if they had my hold requests in, but sadly they didn't. They're books on tape. I want to enjoy the beautiful weather and get some exercise in, but the only way I can consistently convince myself to go on long walks is if I can "read" at the same time. Otherwise the choice is exercise or read, surf the web, watch movies, hang out with roomies, do crafts and countless other things I'd rather do.
Stopped by campus and picked up my graduation announcements. On the one hand, it seems so silly to be going through this seeing as I haven't taken a class in about four months. One the other hand, it will be a nice sense of closure and, the best part, it means my parents are coming for a visit.
Now I'm in quasi-spring-cleaning mode. Girl Roommate is too, but she's doing it much better. I clean a bit, read a bit, clean a bit, surf a bit, clean a bit...you get the idea. I did get the huge built-in cupboard in the hallway all cleaned out and organized. Even found some stuff to trash/sell/donate.
I blame my folks for the cleaning urge. They called today cause they're cleaning out the storage unit in preparation of moving and wanted to know what stuff I wanted to keep. Of course, the items I do want are going to be brought here which means any stuff I get rid of today (and, let's face it...tomorrow; there's no way I'm getting this all done today) will soon be replaced.

You earned major points with Maggie for including the cat toy (she luuuuuvs the fur-covered ones), though she cannot understand why I keep saying "look of this picture of your brother!" :)
Off to post in p29 about it, but thought I'd stop by and add you first since, yes, clearly we have a thing or two in common. :)
