Mar. 1st, 2005 01:09 pmARGH! Books should not be allowed to end in cliffhangers. It's just fundamentally evil. Especially when the book was just published in December meaning I'll have to wait for forever to find out what happens.
It's my own fault really. I started reading Kage Baker's books a few years ago. I got Book 4 and that was the last of the series to have been published (it too ended on a cliffhanger). So I was trawling the library catalogs looking for books and found Book 5. Of course I had to refresh myself on books 1-4 cause it's a highly convuluted time-travel-mystery type series. Get to the end of Book 5 and am once agina left totally hanging.
Anyway, if you can handle the frustration, I highly recommend the whole series. Although, some of the books seem to be out of print so you'll have to get them from the library.
