Well, I suppose one good thing about "kids these days" is if they have their way we won't have to hear them complain:

When told of the exact text of the First Amendment, more than one in three high school students said it goes "too far" in the rights it guarantees.

One in three U.S. high school students say the press ought to be more restricted, and even more say the government should approve newspaper stories before readers see them.

Roughly half the students polled wrongly believed the US government had the right to censor the internet, while two-thirds believed it was illegal to burn the US flag.

Back in 1994 I knew a younger kid, who was about 12, who didn't know it was ok to insult the President.

I'm clinging to the "they're young they don't know any better" aspect of it all. I guess my high school days were different since at least half my friends were on the underground paper and a handful of my firends were on the official school newspaper.

Yeah, my theory that underfunding education was a republican ploy to get a stupid electorate is not so tin-foil hat as it used to be.
