A new opinion poll in the US suggests 56% of Americans believe the cost of the Iraq conflict outweighs its benefits.

It was the first time since the war began that a clear majority of Americans judged the war to have been a mistake, the Washington Post newspaper reported.

Now why couldn't they have figured that out two months ago?!
