Dec. 13th, 2004 01:55 amOK, so it's not a drunken entry, but it is an up late, out with all my friends, too wired to sleep entry.
Things are really winding down here. I'm really having trouble wrapping my head around it. I can't believe I met these nine fabulous people, have spent the last sixteen months with them and now it's all over. Thankfully, most of us are still staying on town for a little while, but...well, it's just not the same.
On the school-front, I'm almost done. It's just so close. I have one more column to write and a video piece to do and that's it. Of course I make it sound like such a small thing, but I will be living in the editing suite this week. Fun, yet at the same time, blech.
OH! OH! OH! I forgot my coolest of the cool news. So, I was volunteering at this journalism conference and one of the shifts I had volunteered for was after the conference cause they needed someone to drive and, hey, I have a car. Turns out it was to help out at the post-conference party that one of the organizers has for all the big-shot speakers. What this all boils down to is I got to spend about a half hour talking about the current state of the U.S. with Daniel Ellsberg. My conversation with my dad sums it up...Daniel Ellsberg? Yes. The Daniel Ellsberg? Yes. The Pentagon Papers, Daniel Ellsberg. YES. I think I'll be riding off that high for quite awhile.
Damnit, on the drive back from the bar I was thinking about all the things I needed to LJ and now I can't think of them... They probably all boiled down to: It's ending. I'm sad.
