Ah! New format! Totally distracting me from my topic. OK, not totally, cause here it is:

I've discovered yet another "signpost to being a journalist" or some such. There's the cliched seeing your name in print. This summer's getting a check from the New York Times Company. Today I hit another one. Having a scientist email you the manuscript of their yet unpublished book.

It's also "a paid" vs. "an paid." This is why there are editors (and why I should always reread my posts before posting). I blame the new posting format. Distracted me. Yeah, that's it.
