OK, so I'm maid of honor in a wedding next Friday and I'm supposed to make a toast. So, am I supposed to do a longer toast... "I've known the bride blah blah blah," similar to a best man's toast or am I just supposed to raise my glass and do a "To the happy couple, may they....." thing?

I'm feeling pressure cause at least two people have said who they're feeling pressure speaking after me. I write... doesn't mean a can publically speak well.

In my experience, it should be similar to the best man's toast, since you are his counterpart. Don't think of it as "speaking publicly", think of it as "telling a story"; that might help.

OK, good. That's what I've been working on. Well, it's longer... it doesn't actually go into how long we've known each other or anything like that, but it's more than just a quick toast. And I'm not too worried about "telling a story," just feel I have some sort of standard to live up to now that the other people feel pressure. Odd I know. Anyway, thanks.
