Damn it, even when I'm hanging out with fellow geeks I somehow prove to have the higher geek quotient in some area or another. Were discussing a piece of art that showed a stone memorial in Ireland and I made some comment about Aslan and a stone table and was met with complete blank looks. They had no idea what I was talking about. I guess that sometimes my definition of pop culture/common knowledge is a little skewed from reality.

Hmmm - that happened just recently to Jon and I. Our mutual friend Taube brought over a Robin Williams stand up DVD. Robin was franticly running across the stage re-enacting the fleeing of the "pagens" of the Middle East during the times of the crusades. The "pagens" were shouting, "Hide the women, the children, and the number 0!!!!"

At this point Jon and I were peeing ourselves we were laughing so hard. Taube and his woman had no idea what we were laughing at. They had no idea who invented the number 0.

Sigh. Jon and I have to much useless knowledge.
