You know you're getting maudlin about leaving CO when you're driving in the car thinking "Wow, this is the last time I'll hear a Shane Co. commercial for a long time."
Well, I hate to burst your bubble, but The Shane Co is in more places than CO. They flood the radio waves up here in Portland. They flooded the radio waves in Phoenix when I lived there (and they probably still do). I've heard them on the radio in Seattle when visiting. According to the website, they have locations in 11 semi-random states, and based on experience, I would say that they use the same marketing scheme wherever they are.
It does just stick in your brain, doesnt' it? I'd say that makes it successful advertising, except that it gets so stuck in my brain that I'm annoyed by it so I'd refuse to shop there just based on the annoyance factor.
"Now you can by from a direct diamond importer..."
No wait, they changed it.
"Now you have a friend in the diamond business: The Shane Company. Just off Arapahoe road on Emporia street. Open Monday through Friday 'til eight, Saturday and Sunday 'til five."
Feel free to sit at a typewriter in your bedroom typing that over and over and over again until the ghost of Mr. Shane himself coaxes you into killing your housemates with a bribe of freshwater cultured pearls and brilliant rubies.

I hear you. Gods do I hear you.
