Random thoughts...
Jun. 7th, 2003 11:29 pmA group of us met up with Pat #3 last night. Yes, there was a #1 and a #2. What can I say, I went through a phase. Yet one more shining example of why I need to get to Boston. Six degrees of separation is better than 1.5. For a good-sized city, this is entirely too small a town.
Anyway, he's been doing work maintaining kidney dialysis machines. Between him and my friend who is a nurse's assistant, I'm a little weirded out. People I've known since junior high should not have power over people's lives. In so many ways I still see their fourteen year-old selves.
Once again I assumed the role of relationship counselor. I always wonder why so many of my friends come to me, the perpetually single girl, for relationship advice. Wouldn't the assumption be that I would be in one if I was any good at it?

Date: 2003-06-08 08:40 pm (UTC)Mom and I were talking about this tonight actually (more info to follow in a soon-to-be written letter or e-mail).. b/c even though you may not be in a relationship, you have enough of a level-head and good sense to be able to see what is being done wrong/or right in the relationship, and give advice.... Anyway - soon you'll be receiving lots of news from PA.
