Why do people feel the need to give you a running commentary of what they are doing? "OK, I have that all set up now. Now I need to get this printed and I'll be able to..." Could you just do it? I really don't need the constant updates.

I'm actually one of those people when I'm very busy at work, because I tend to think out loud. Fortunately, I'm usually just mumbling and pointing so I hope I don't bug anyone else.

No, see she is specificaly telling me what's going on and constantly asking questions and telling stories and not letting me get anything done and AGH!!!

Somebody just came back after six months leave and I had just forgotten how large her prescence is. She's into everything, needs to know who is doing what, where so-and-so is, what hours people have been working, what plans have people made for the future, why this changed, etc. etc. etc. I am not nosy so I have spent the morning saying, I don't know, you'll have to ask him/her" When I mean "I don't know so stop asking me questions!!!" And she's very upset that some changes have occurred in the processes...it's been six months, things change! [/vent]

Ahh reminds me of some of my co-workers. One in particular is a great girl, loves the animals, and probably has the biggest heart of anyone I know, but is THE world's slowest worker. She does the same thing... "I'm going to clean the kennel now" "ok" "Kim, I'm going to clean the kennel" "ok" "Here I go to clean the kennel.." "OK!!!" and then .... "kim you have to come see how clean it is and everyone is eating" And there are those who are really nosy/into every appointment/everyone's lives.... so basically I know exactly how you feel. P.S. - letter in progress coming to a mailbox near you soon
