Who sends something like this as a business email?

hi, iam manager at ******* at ******* ny acctually our company deals in fast food busciness and it has abt 200 branches nation wide we were doing very good before 9/11 but now perfoms poorly like many others so being a manager i think this is my res ponsibility to take my company out from this crises so do u have any recent case study on this particular field if so plz send me complete data abt it with all

I mean, I can understand ignoring grammar, punctuation and spelling when chatting back and forth with friends, but business correspondence?

At the last company I worked for, most of the Indian interns with whom I worked sent emails like that company-wide. For some reason I really found it annoying to get stuff that read like an ICQ chat telling me where to find stuff to do work.

"if u r needng to run bugzilla then u shd go 2 c:\program files\bugzilla. lol, it's c00l"

I mean, christ, I half expected them to start each email with "A/S/L?"

And again, for some reason it was only the Indian interns. None of the other employees of any nationality, and none of the Indians who had graduated.

Weird.
