Woke up this morning to the Joey Cheek story on my clock radio on NPR. I can't find the transcript right now but it basically started out with him opening his post-win press conference by saying "I know you guys came in here ready to write another Hallmark story of 'Olympic Dreams' come true, but I've got an opportunity here and I'm going to take it..." He went on to describe the genocide in Darfur and how he was pledging all his winnings to a charity that...well read the article. You'll see. Now that is a class act. Happy Valentines Day all...
