Jan. 29th, 2005 03:12 amSo, I went out with friends tonight, which means (yes, you guessed it) it's time for another Drunken Entry (TM)
We're losing another compatriart. The first was lost to "I'm getting married and moving to CA," which, I figure, is an acceptable loss. The second was lost to "I got a kick ass job that involves one month training in London." Although I'm bitterly jealous, it's only a one month loss, so again, acceptable. But this one is a matter of "my roommate found herslef a new place and it's more of a hassle to find me a new place than it is to move back to VA so I'll see you guys later." Basically a total cop out. And it's GirlRoommate's best friend, so she is (justifiably) upset about the whole thing.
Went out drinking for a farewell...well...drink. Had a bit of a chain reaction accident. Friend's boy knocked over his beer causing her to knock over hers causing me to knock over mine (all in an attempt to escape the spillage of beer #1). Of course they lost Coors Lights... I lost a Chimay. Slightly unfair, and not in my favor.
GOt a call back for on one of my job apps (finally). I was beginning to think I was sending resumes out into an endless void. We'll see how things go. Talked to my mom today, but didn't tell her. The last time I expressed even the slightest interest in a hypothetical job that doesn't even exist, she brought it up in every single conversation, sometimes more than once. I'm not facing that. I'll mention it once I'm past the initial interview.
BoyRoommate has moved in which means we have furniture again. Woohoo! I have to say, I'm enjoying creating the "once I get a job" shopping list and some real furniture (beyond bedroom neccessities of bed and bookcases and more bookcases and a few more bookcases) is pretty high up on the list. As is a, you guessed it, book buying trip. What can I say, it's a sickness.
Guess that's it for now. IT's past 3 and if I want to be at all functional I should really sign off now, so OFF!
