Yeah, this is old news, but it's new to me and oh-so-cool.

"My take on the story is to try to stay as close to Heinlein's politics and Heinlein's vision of the future that I can."

Let's hope he does... Book adaptations - they either are phenomenal or suck beyond all measure (and why is there never any middle ground?). Let's hope this will be the former.

Serendipity Baby!

I have to write and oped for my Harvard class. Since the class is on human health and the global environment, not to suprisingly, the oped has to fit that theme. I was kind of tossing around the idea of how the Atkins diet plays into the agricultural system, how much grain it takes to raise a cow, monocropping, yada, yada, yada. Course, last week the person whose oped we read was all about the dangers of monocropping so tossed that idea.

FInally decided to do something on fresh water, limited resource and all that. So I finally started my research tonight (what with spring break ending the day after tomorrow) and lo and behold, March 22nd is World Water Day...It's just nice when things fall so neatly into place like that.

Anyway, back to the research (yeah, it's a thrilling Saturday night, but I've accomplished so little this week that I had to buckle down and get work down. Somehow I can only be productive under a time crunch.)
