taerowynI was going to skip out on tonight's drunken entry, but it seemed such a shame considering I got an icon especially for these type of entries. Sad, isn't it?
Anyway... went out with some friends this evening. Decided that there are few things sadder than being cognizant that you are the girl that the "wingman" is forced to deal with.
Got quite an education this evening. There was a retroviral conference in town and somehow I found the one visiting scientist in the bar. It was actually a fascinating conversation...learned a bit about the "suoervirus" case in NY and the new drug treatments etc. He was impressed that he happened to have stumbled across one of the few people in the bar who actually knew what a Western Blot was. Although I hve to say, lectures on one of the most deadly STDs is really not the best way to pick a girl up.
Did learn a new drinkning game. Will have to teach it next time I'm at an appropriate venue. There is more, but I have reached the limits of my typing ability at this point so you'll just have to wait.

Date: 2005-02-26 05:45 pm (UTC)my family and i are struggling with the death illness and have been mostly house-bound since this past tuesday. it will likely be tuesday (although possibly monday) before i am able to get your package out. just wanted to let you know so you wouldn't think you were left high and dry. although it's quite possible you might think that anyhow. ;-)
