Watched The Lord of the Rings DVD last night. Such wonderful goodness. I'm glad I just rented it though because November brings the extra-special, super-di-dooper, extended, extra-long 4 disc DVD (FOUR DISCS!) and I will want that because there is 30 minutes of extra footage. Some of the footage includes plot points that really bothered me that they were skipped, like the gifts from the elves to everybody in the fellowship not just Frodo etc. Three months for that and then one more month to Two Towers and then a year...best not to think about the year.

Damn, I escaped being a Star Wars or Star Trek nerd, but I may not escape Lord of the Rings so easily. Four more months. ARGH!
