i can't even begin to tell you how sad and mad this makes me. i'll spare you the rant, but i don't understand why they'd take the two worthwhile elements out of a campy b movie cult classic (bruce campbel and sam raimi) and replace it with new directors, new ashes, and a budget.
just so you don't feel too responsible, i found out about this a few days ago. i've been trying to get in touch with raimi ever since, but cannot find his email adress anywhere.
OK, so maybe I should have said this is why you hate me...
On the up note, there is this "According to some reports, Campbell will reprise his role as Ash, the film's sole survivor." And Raimi is still producing the thing.
