I don't know if it's the fact that it's summer or if it's because now that I'm working five days a week my weekends seem more precious, but I'm doing my best to go out and do things. More so than I did while school was in session.

Went to an arts and crafts festival this morning and then spent the afternoon evening at an irish festival. Did learn that, other than the performers, if you've seen one irish festival you've seen them all. I actually recognized several of the vendors from the Estes Park festival. However, I said "other than the performers," and that makes a huge difference. Where wlse but at a festival could I see Seamus Egan (think Brothers McMullen soundtrack), Seven Nations and Solas for only $12. It was definitely a musical day.

Tomorrow I have plans to see the dragon boat races and possibly head over to the Boston seaport festival. Busy busy.

On a totally unrealted note, Christian Bale as Batman? Please...

Actually, I believe he will do a fine job. Batman is a psychotic personality... a polite rich guy who dresses up at night and beats the shit out of people. Christian Bale has already played this role, albeit to more of an extreme.

I'm sorry, I know he did American Psycho, but he was Laurie from Little Women first and I just can't get over that (added in that my first memory of him is the kid from Newsies and I really can't see it)

Well, fortunately I never saw Little Women, so I've got no problem with the casting. He works for me. Much better than some of the other rumors that were floating around, that's for sure.

Now Superman -- that's someone getting REALLY screwed in casting! The latest rumor is the Donnie Darko guy. Who's cool and all, but hardly Clark Kent.
