Yes, I am making up for lost time by catching up on all my email and LJ and what-not. More importantly, however, is the fact that I was home and was able to bring some good eats and good drinks back with me. Needless to say, my fingers are sugar-sticky and I am slightly inebriated.

If anybody knows where I can get some good black ale in the Boston vicinity I will be in your debt.

I have some of New Belgium's pilsner in my fridge right now; it's tasty. Never heard of black ale, though. Does it resemble stout or porter (or neither)?

Neither...that's the problem of trying to find something similar. It's got the dark color and roasted kind of flavor of a stout but it's thinner and lacks the bitterness. Just yummy.
