Dop-a-dop-a-dop-a Dop-a Dop
Nov. 14th, 2001 10:35 amSorry, little Warner Brothers vulture is meandering through my head.
What to do? NOBODY is here today. There are only 10 employees total, but today there's only me and the two women upstairs. It's DEAD with a capitol D (and e and a and d the way I just wrote it). Yes I have become the living embodiment of bored silly...why else would I write soemthing so silly.
I know, I know I should do work, but there are no orders, we have a temp coming in this afternoon to work on the bulk mailing and I can't cancel that and do it myself, and basically I really have no DESIRE to work. Guess that's the root of the problem. Tempted to call in sick tomorrow. I could say I got the boss' flu. But that seems such a cop out since I won't be in all next week (Yipee!)
I've been here four hours...halfway done, that's something to be happy about. Anybody want the mailing addresses for the top 50 companies of the Fortune 500? That's what I spent most of my morning researching. We just published a new book on Change Management and the boss wants it in the 50 state libraries (Did that Monday) and the libraries of the Fortune 50 (should get it out today). Not that any of you care, but I'm bored and journaling is ever so much better than putting together the 50 boxes I will need in order to ship all this stuff out.
122.5 hours...but who's counting.
Guess I should give up and buckle under...hope everybody else's day is a tad more interesting than my own. :oP
