Nov. 13th, 2003 10:20 pmSo, I polished off the last of a bottle of wine tonight. Was just going to have a glass but there was so "little" enough left, I figured why not finish it. That much wine and little sleep/food makes for a fairly woozy me. I'm hard pressed not to type things I shouldn't type.
Turned in an article today from which I learned a very bad lesson. The assignment was 900 words with 6 interviews. The first draft was due last Thursday and I turned in 600 words with zero interviews. What can I say, I procrastinate? Usually interviews take one to two days turn around time (you call them, a few days later you actually hear from them). Well, I was really bad and didn't start doing interviews 'til yesterday afternoon. Got five interviews done yesterday and one today. And it's my favorite piece that I've written for this class thus far. Fairly positive reinforcement for very negative actions on my part.
Can I say how impressed I am that I wrote all that feeling as buzzed as I am?
My repetoire of T experiences is ever expanding. The best was still when the cops pulled over the train cause there was a bank robber on board. Who uses the T as a a getaway vehicle!?!? Tonight there was some sort of medical emergency, heart attack maybe, on the car ahead of me so it was an ambulance instead of cop cars. As far as emergency vehicles go, I'm just waiting for a fire to start up on a train I'm on and then I'll have the complete set.
I'm such a slacker some(most)times. This program is very much one of those "youget out of it what you put into it" type dealy-ma-bobs. I am still on undergraduate "minimum amount of effort necessary" mode. We'll see how long that takes to kick me in the butt. There's just so much I'd rather do. Books and livejournal and movies and sleep and web surfing and scarpbooking and cross-stitch and creative writing and the list just goes on and on. But research into internship opportunities? Try to get clips? Eh, I'll get around to it. Not a good attitude to have. We'll see what happens.
Guess that's enough for now. Fading from the loopy stage to the yawny want to pass out stage. Sleep is good and tomorrow's class is starting an hour later than normal which is even better. MMMMMMMM....sleep!

Date: 2003-11-14 01:39 am (UTC)Well, since I've heard traffic is hell because of the Big Dig, I would imagine that a train is a more expedient getaway vehicle, if a bit predictable in it's travels.
Also, quit procrastinating. That's my job... I've got more than enough for the both of us.
