taerowynSo, our most recent video assignment was an interview. We could interview anyone we wanted about anything we wanted, we just needed to end up with four 30 second clips. Easy.
To make it that much easier, my group decided to interview Dom, the boyfriend of fellow group member Carrie.
The prof said that everybody should have assigned roles, ie sound, camera/lights and director/interviewer. We actually had four group members so Carrie decided to be the production assistant. She decided that meant she would set the background of the interview. So she rearranged plants, fluffed some pillows etc.
As we're getting set up, her boyfriend asks her, "So what's your job?"
"Oh, I'm the fluffer."
Yeah, we just about lost it at the point. I told her that, as the director, that was not the kind of film I was looking to direct. She's basically NEVER living that one down.
