Jun. 15th, 2003 10:51 pmOur puppy is on her last legs. OK, so 17 means she's very far from being a puppy, but she's always been a puppy, small and hyper and very misbehaved, but loved. Always loved.
I don't know who is taking it worse, Mom or Dad. She's always kind of been Mom's dog, but she is very firmly set in "don't want her to suffer, we'll know when it's time." Dad...I don't know, she had a siezure yesterday and Mom started talking seriously about contacting the vet and I swear Dad's face started to crumple up like a five-year-olds. Just, "No, not yet." He's been going on a lot of business trips. I don't know what will be worse, if he's here when we have to do it or if he's not.
It's hard. I mean, she's SweetPea. I can barely remember life without her, although I do have strong memories of the day we got her. You know what, screw lengthening the lives of humans, they're long enough, I say we work on the lives of pets.
